Teen Leadership

Building life and community founded on solid Jewish values

Teen leadership training is a long-term investment in our children and for the Jewish community. Nurturing people when they are young keeps them committed not only to their Jewish identity, but also to their community.

The service components of our programs are helpful in building an academic resume for college. Teens who participate in our leadership development programs often stay involved in the community through Hillel and as young adult lay leaders after their college experience.

Baltimore Diller Teen Fellows

Baltimore Diller Teen Fellows is a 15-month teen leadership program of Jewish Volunteer Connection (JVC). The program is based on four pillars: leadership, Israel, Judaism/Jewish identity and Tikkun Olam. High school juniors participate in three Shabbatonim (weekend retreats), monthly leadership development seminars and two mifgashim (student exchanges in both Baltimore and Israel) with their teen counterparts in Ashkelon (Baltimore's partnership city in Israel). In addition, Diller Fellows create a community service initiative. The Diller Teen Fellows program is generously funded by the Helen Diller Family Foundation and other supporting foundations and organizations.
