Every woman matters here

You feel it — the draw to make the world a better place, the need to serve with purpose and meaning. You might already be a leader in your neighborhood, school or business, or you might be entirely new to the world of community building. Whether you know exactly how you want to be involved or are not quite sure how to begin, you are wanted and needed here.

The opportunities are everywhere, and so are Associated Women. In whatever way you are inspired to support the community – from hands-on volunteering and committee work to leadership positions – join us.

Come as you are, give as you can, grow as you do

Associated Women give with pride, passion and purpose. Every gift is important and every gift matters because each one builds the community we share. Giving your time and money through The Associated is the most powerful way to effect change in our community.

Women who give financial gifts at the following levels are recognized in The Associated’s Honor Roll, and through our giving societies:

  • Pomegranate Society – The pomegranate, a symbol of bounty, sustenance and strength, contains 613 seeds, representing each mitzvah in the Torah. The Pomegranate Society honors women who make a continuing, personal annual commitment of $1,800 or more to The Associated. Pomegranate donors are eligible to purchase and wear a specially-designed silver Pomegranate pin reflecting the beauty and strength of Jewish women.
  • Ruby Pomegranate Society – Pomegranate donors who make a continuing, personal annual commitment of $3,600 or more to The Associated are recognized as Ruby Pomegranate and eligible to accent their Pomegranate pin with a ruby inset.
  • Lion of Judah – Reflecting strength, honor and dedication, Lion of Judah honors philanthropic women who make a continuing personal, annual commitment of $6,000 or more to The Associated. Lion of Judah donors are eligible to purchase and wear a Lion of Judah pin. As her contributions grow, a Lion of Judah donor is invited to accent her pin with the corresponding precious gem.
  • Lion of Judah Endowment – The strength and vitality of women's philanthropy continues through a Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE). Establishing a LOJE enables women to leave a legacy to safeguard the values that inspire their personal commitment. A LOJE gift represents the creation of a permanent fund that will guarantee a women's financial commitment of at least $6,000 to be made to The Associated in perpetuity.

National Women’s Philanthropy has recently launched its LOJE25 campaign, a strategic plan to increase the number of endowments among Lions and celebrate 25 years of LOJE (Lion of Judah Endowment). For more information, or to create a LOJE, contact Donna Kasoff, Director of Endowment Development, at dskasoff@associated.org or 410-369-9256.
